 Employment

1.    FTRS ATCOs are employed in accordance with the routines laid down in the Culdrose ATCO Order Book.

Requirements

2.    Controllers are to operate iaw Military Aviation Authority (MAA) Air Traffic Management (ATM) Regulatory Articles.

3.    At all times, ATCOs are responsible for the accuracy and safety of the ATC instructions they pass. 

4.    ATCOs are to: 

a.    Ensure that they are fully conversant with the latest promulgated orders, instructions, notices and signals with particular reference to the aerodrome and its facilities. 

b.    Be fully briefed regarding the weather situation and tendencies for the period of their watch. 

c.    Ensure that they have a full understanding of the air traffic situation prevailing prior to taking over a control position. 

d.    Remain in the control room to act as an assistant or adviser to the controller who has assumed responsibility, unless they are permitted to leave by that controller.
