Task requirements
Post Role: Recruit Section Commander
1. Perform the duties of a Section Commander delivering Army Reserve Basic Training.
2. Key responsibility is to delivery SAA to their allocated section within the Basic Training Platoon to WHT standard.
3. Fully conversant and compliant with all aspects of Basic training, either leading or supporting its delivery.
4. Assist the Platoon Commander with compiling Recruits report books and the Platoon Sergeant with administration.
5. Lead Recruits and inspire individual achievement as per the ARITC code of practice for instructors.
6. Undertake any additional tasks as required by the CoC.
7. Maintain regular engagement with own cap badge ensuring the individual remains SQEP within CEQ.
RSDs: up to 88 RSD.
Essential competencies
Good Leadership skills, motivated to improve and develop the delivery of Basic Training.
Driver Licence Gp B.
Desirable competencies
DTc (A). If not already qualified must attend DTc (A) within 3 months of appointment..
AASAA, (will complete early in post if not qualified).
Cat D-1 driver licence.
BCD Instructor.
DCCT user.

The main aim of this role is to deliver phase 1 training to Army Reservists. As a section commander you will be training up to 12 individuals to the standards laid down by HQ Sldr Ac.
This role will also give you the opportunity to undertake training courses that may not be available to you through your own unit, such as skill at arms, range qualifications, CBRN, First aid and Map Reading.
