Task requirements
Role: Responsible to SO1 ECO for the delivery of Engagement activities within the RPoC in accordance with the Engagement, Communications and Outreach Plan, Bde Plan and FoE. The incumbent provides engagement technical expertise and detailed understanding of audiences, planning timelines and resources to support and advise the G3/5 Team with the preparation and delivery of the annual engagement programme, focusing on operational and tactical level engagement in Scotland. The incumbent is also responsible for the execution and coordination of priority Engagement activities at the operational and tactical level. 1. Support and advise G5 Plans with the development and refinement of the Engt & Bde FoE. 2. Deliver/execute priority Engt projects and activities as tasked by COS/CofC, working in collaboration with G1-9 staff. 3. Support G5 Plans with deconfliction/coordination of the Engt programme with external stakeholders in the AOR (RG, RN, RAF, H and L RFCAs). 4. BPT to develop and maintain understanding of Target Audiences within the RPoC AOR. 5. Support DComd (Res) in the delivery of Employer Engagement, incl Employer Recognition Scheme, REEB and Secretary of the REEB WG. 6. Share relevant information and Engagement best practice with HQ RC, RPoC units and relevant stakeholders. BPT to facilitate or deliver Engt Trg. Advise RPoC units CETFs on outputs and priorities as appropriate. 7. Deliver the application of the Understanding Civil Engagement (UCE) tool to provide a common Engt operating picture, measure CE activity and effect, to include the assurance of unit and staff contributions to UCE. 8. Essential competencies
ICSC(L)/(LR) - Experience in / understanding of the planning process (Cbt Estimate) and Integrated Action is critical Previous Grade 2 staff experience essential. G3 - 5 focus would be an advantage. Defence Contribution to Resilience Course L2 - can be completed in role. Engagement Practioners Course - can be completed in role. Disclosure PVG Scotland check prior to assuming appt. |

Flexible/hybrid working may be available subject to the Commanders agreement, however, living locally to Edinburgh is recommended.
