Task requirements

Position Role: PJHQ lead for Mobile Comms, C2 and Interoperability, responsible for management of PJHQ, Defence Digital and partners across government capabilities. 


Responsibilities: 
- Manage projects that provide Mobile C2 including governance, finance, security, technical and liaising with end users.
- Coordinate PJHQ use of Defence Digital, Cabinet Office and other - PAG Mobile Comms Systems/Services, providing specialist technical/tradecraft advice.
- Liaise with international HQs, StratCom, Defence Digital, FLCs, and deployed FEs to inform planning and development of Interoperability Solutions.
- Inform/advise PJHQ divisions to ensure that Op Planning and execution benefits from all available Interoperability and Deployable Mobile Solutions. 
- Understand and develop the architectural framework and vision for Information Systems deployed in support of Coalition Missions.
- In-line with Industry, Defence and Delivery partners, exploit existing and emerging concepts and technology to deliver Mobile Comms and C2. 
- Support the J6 Ops desks to ensure that CIS requirements are understood and that Mobile Comms and C2 systems remain available to support Operations.
- Assist PJHQ J3 with Business Continuity Planning by ensuring interoperability requirements are understood.

R Signals background or prior Digital experience.

DV security clearance (can be applied for once in post)

Additional information

PJHQ is a Regular organisation, which routinely works Mon to Fri, (0830 to 1700); it is essential that the incumbent can be flexible throughout the working week. 
The exact working days will be planned with the 1RO. Working from home is routinely possible on a Fri and could be extended depending on specific circumstances. The incumbent must be able to travel and work at the Northwood site.
