Task requirements
Position Role: Lead Staff Offr for the delivery of RC national Employer Engagement (EE) activity, and co-ord of regional EE activity ISO Defence and Army EE Direction.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver the RC engagement plan in line with Defence and Army EE direction, and to support wider RC Engt objectives.
- Develop and maintain the EE Common Operating Picture to enable targeted EE interventions.
- Record and analyse EE activity and effect IOT continuously improve EE Engt delivery in support of the RC Engt plan.
- Build close rapport with EE stakeholders (inc RF&C, sS, DRM (ISO AFC and ERS), and JMCs).
- Represent Engt Br (with C&E) at MoD strategy and delivery groups IOT shape and influence Army contribution to tri-service EE effort.
- Deliver national EE events inclusive of the Understanding the Army Reserve (UTAR) events and support MoD national EE campaigns.
- Coordinate, support and assure JMC EE activity including the reporting of REEB/REFB to Army HQ.
- Support Army HQ and Fd Army in the delivery of EE and ES advice and training.
Essential competencies
ICSC(L)
High calibre individual wishing to develop and stretch abilities in a 2* HQ
Requires experience and broad understanding of the Army including the Army Reserve and Army Firm Base and future Reg/Res Army laydown.
Desirable competencies
Previous engt and comms experience a distinct advantage.
Previous Grade 3 staff experience preferred.

Domestic Considerations: Able to attend HQ RC, Aldershot on at least three days in the working week either by commuting or relocating. Some weekend work. Will involve some UK-wide travel. Up to 35 nights separated service per year are a requirement of this post.
EE is Defence, Core mandated activity. This is not a specialist post, rather it requires generalist ability to conduct effects-based coordination, through a targeted approach, to deliver engagement effect across the country as HQ RC assumes responsibility from HQ HC for the delivery of all UK Civil Engt.
This post would be ideal for an innovative thinker, who has some understanding of Civilian employment and the potential issues raised by Reserve Service. The incumbent will be encouraged to take risk and trial new ideas.
Duties may include other relevant duties as directed by SO1 Engt Plans and ACOS Engt & UK Ops Trg.
