Task requirements

Position Role:

To provide the focus for AGC regimental matters, for serving and retired officers and soldiers and their dependants

Responsibilities:

  1. Support SO1 Engagement and the Comms Manager in planning, delivering and exploiting virtual engagement (INFORM, UNDERSTAND, ATTRACT)
  2. Collaborate on, collate and manage social media platform content IOT increase followers of the pages.
  3. Capture stipulated measures of effect (MOE), data collection and analysis and assurance of AGC virtual engagement.
  4. Support the development of the embryonic Regional AGC Association hubs broadening support to AGC veterans.
  5. Support the development and publication of the AGC Journal, including digital archiving. 
  6. Provide Corps and Branch staff with SME advice, trg and support to deliver virtual engagement events.
  7. Coordinate on or physically support key Corps events in order to capture and exploit multi-media content.  
  8. Provide staff support as required by Col AGC and COS AGC. 

Essential competencies

IT Proficient

Competent on Social Media platforms. 

Understanding of modern approaches to Social Media


Desirable competencies

ICSC(L) or ICSC(LR)

Media and Comms Experience (military or civilian)

Grade 2 Staff Officer experience

Understanding of the wider AGC

Additional information

National Reservists must conduct a minimum of 19 RSDs to qualify for Certificate of Efficiency however the successful candidate will be expected to offer considerably more, in order to fulfil this role, up to a maximum of 120.

The post is a hybrid mix of office based working in Worthy Down and remote working from home.
