Task requirements

Role: Fulfil the role of Pl Comd for the delivery of Basic Training (BT) to Army Reserve (AR) recruits.  Command, lead,  inspire and mentor through to successful completion of BT.

RSDs: Upwards of minimum 48 RSDs - more available if required.  High level of weekend work.  Must be able to commit to some weekday work during consolidated courses.

Selection Process

Applications to Adjt ATU (NI) for consideration on 38X RAB.  Successful applicant to be informed when 38X RAB results have been ratified by APC.

ATU (NI) train the Army's next generation of Army Reserve soldiers.  We deliver demanding, realistic but safe basic training that develops the character of our soldiers enabling them to embark on their military career with confidence and a will to succeed in all they do.  We teach the values and standards of the British Army using inspirational role models and ensure that our soldiers can do the basics brilliantly.

To deliver trained and motivated Reserve soldiers to the Field Army and establish a centre of excellence in Northern Ireland.
