Task requirements
Position Role: SO2 UK Ops (XO) responsible for planning and delivering training to JMC HQs and assuring JMCs for UK Operations.
Responsibilities:
- Branch XO with in-depth knowledge of the Defence Contribution to Resilience, HQ RC UK Ops procedures, and the national UK Ops working environment, iaw JDP 02.
- Design and deliver UK resilience training to enable and assure JMC competency in delivering UK Ops, inc. Mission Rehearsal Exercises (MRX).
- Chief Operations (CHOPS) during MRX maintaining situational awareness and output of LOCON / SIDECON / EXCON.
- Ensure Wholeforce / JMC situational awareness through the branch co-ord meeting and persistent JMC engagement.
- Plan, prepare and deliver bespoke UK Operations training packages in support of SJC.
- Ensure UK Ops training events (MRX and OTX) are DSAT compliant through Training Needs Analysis and course design.
- Manage branch IM / IX systems.
- Support wider Engagement Branch outputs as directed..
Essential competencies
ICSC - ICSC(LR) for FTRS Officers. Understanding of the Firm Base structures and Op Planning Process.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 suite of applications.
Desirable competencies
UK Resilience Ops experience is highly desirable for credibility.
Previous staff experience is highly desirable, particularly RPOC HQ experience.

HQ RC is the 2* Command with a UK wide responsibility for delivering the Firm Base on behalf of PSC. The post requires a high calibre individual to undertake the demanding and challenging role with a wide-ranging portfolio, which will be influential in establishing future operating procedures for Firm Base delivery.
Pre Appt/Deployment Trg: Defence Contribution to Resilience Course Level 3 and other qualifications as directed.
Domestic Considerations: Flexible Working Arrangements, UK and Overseas Travel.
