Task requirements

Position Role:  Principal staff advisor to the GOC on UK Ops.

Responsibilities:

  1. Provide subject matter expertise on all matters relating to military support to resilience and UK Ops training and UK Operations Policy.
  2. Training Delivery Authority (TDA) for UK Operations Training.
  3. Design and deliver UK resilience training to enable and assure JMC competency in delivering UK Ops, inc. Mission Rehearsal Exercises (MRX).
  4. Exercise Director/ Controller on MRX deputising for GOC.
  5. Develop, refine and deliver Overseas Base Resilience Assurance Exercises.
  6. Co-ordination and delivery of API (P)
  7. Oversee the coordination of training for pre-planned UK Ops as directed.
  8. Support wider Engagement Branch outputs as directed.

HQ RC is the 2* Command with a UK wide responsibility for delivering the Firm Base on behalf of PSC. The post requires a high calibre individual to undertake the demanding and challenging role with a wide-ranging portfolio, which will be influential in establishing future operating procedures for Firm Base delivery.

    • Lead staff advisor on UK Resilience for 2*.
    • Development and delivery of UK Resilience Training across UK and overseas in Brunei, Nepal and Germany.
    • Those with extensive training, operational planning or UK Resilience experience would be well suited to the role.
