Notes:
CVs can be uploaded with .doc, .docx or .pdf file extensions.
.rtf files cannot be accepted on the system. For new Members, the CV will be used to create an initial account which, once verified, will create a link to enable you to register and complete a full List account; you will not be able to apply for a job, or network, until you have done so.
For existing Members, provided the e-mail address you use above corresponds to that already recorded in your account, the new CV will be added to your account. Additionally uploading a CV will be taken as your agreement to our data management policy and terms.
Eligibility to Join: You must be a serving or former member, including the reserves, of the UK Armed Forces to be able to join The List. Exceptionally, we do permit non-UK forces people, who have been embedded within the UK Armed Forces, to join: if you fall into this latter category please Contact Us before registering.

Unit Role: The Defence Counter CBRN Capability Staff provide in-depth and coherent tri-service C-CBRN staff effort on behalf of the Army as Lead User, to support all functions of the Defence Operating Model.
Position Role: Lead SO1 for C-CBRN policy support, advice to the risk holding chain and inspection of capability.
Responsibilities: 1. Provide senior C-CBRN SME input for the Army, advising Lead User (Army) functions including programme delivery and TLS, and contributing to Defence level policy and governance including the DCEB PG. 2. Provide the C-CBRN Army Competent Authority & Inspector (ACAI) function and manage C-CBRN CPD. 3. Provide advice to Army C-CBRN risk management. 4. Manage C-CBRN lessons, coordinating resolution through Army and Defence-wide systems. 5. Coordinate all CMC ACA&I responsibilities, including Safety Known Activity (Live Firing)) with internal and external stakeholders. 6. International & domestic engagement as directed by AIE and/or SPO within the policy/assurance area.
Domestic Considerations: Up to 35 nights compulsory separated service per year are a requirement of this post. Occasional travel worldwide (around 1-2 weeks) to key allies & partner nations incl NATO.
Essential competencies
Generalist or specialist C-CBRN staff or operational experience essential
Desirable competencies
Defence CBRN Advisor.
Defence CBRN science cse also desirable. Can be completed upon appointment.
