Job Description

Responsibilities:
1. Lead and instruct a Section of Recruits in the skills required to pass the Basic Trg CMS(Res) course, to include SAA, Fieldcraft, PT, and ranges.
2. Always administer and supervise Recruits in their Basic Training.
3. Assess Recruits and regularly prepare written reports.
4. Maintain and monitor Recruits' welfare.
5. Maintain good order and military discipline amongst Recruits.
6. Prepare and conduct lessons in accordance with the training programme and ensure that Key Learning Points are completed.
7. Command a Section of up to 12 Recruits in barracks and on Exercises.
8. Perform duty NCO role as directed by CSM.

Essential Skills

SAA Instructor advantageous. If unqualified must attend course within 6 months of appointment to deliver weapon training to recruits. 

PTI, Drill Instr, CMCQ/RMQ, BCDT Instr, K Qual advantageous. At least 1 of these qualifications are required within 18 months of appointment.

Desirable Skills

DTc(A) Within 6 months of appointment.

Basic Care Of Trainees (DLE online course). Achieved within 1 month of arrival.

Cat B/D1 driving licence advantageous. 

Selection Process

Army Appointment Board.

Additional information

Provided with up to 88 RSD per annum, hopefully consisting of at least 15 Basic Training delivery weekends delivered fortnightly (flexible for right applicant).
