Job Description

Unit Role: Reserve War Fighting Infantry Light Role Unit.

Position Role:  UK Ops Officer within a Reserve Inf LR Bn.

Responsibilities: The Operations Officer is directly reportable to the Unit Commanding Officer or Chief of Staff. They are the principle Staff Officer within a HQ responsible for the Force Preparation, Force Generation and Unit commitments.

 

  1. Provide SME advice to the Comd Gp on commitment issues, including readiness, across all elements of the Unit.
  2. Interface with G7 so that the most appropriate training for the operational requirement is received/delivered.
  3. Direct the FPrep and FGen of all FEs from the Unit.
  4. Manager of Unit/ formation scheduling applications ensuring operations can be achieved.
  5. Responsible to the CO as unit Operations Officer.
  6. Provide oversight and prioritisation as required for all trawls.
