Job Description

Preamble

 

Commander Maritime Reserve (COMMARRES) commands the Royal Naval and Royal Marine Reserves known collectively as the Maritime Reserve (MR). The purpose of the MR is as set out in the Maritime Reserve Directive

Units are fundamental to the delivery of COMMARRES’ output. All posts within Commander Maritime Reserve Headquarters (CMR HQ) are to be occupied by suitably qualified and experienced personnel who have the time and skills to deliver in their specific role.  This document provides the Terms of Reference for the SO2/SO3 Royal Naval Reserve.

The function of the MR HQ is to set and shape the conditions by which the MR is able to generate and maintain capability at readiness support of the Naval Service.

  • To provide direct support SO1 RNR when advising the Deputy Commander on Unit activity, personnel, operational and governance matters.
