Task requirements

To operate and maintain all types of catering equipment within the regiment.
To plan menus using fresh and ORP rations
Organise, prepare, and cook hot and cold food and beverages using fresh and convenience commodities either in camp or in the field.
Ensures compliance with all current SHE legislation in the kitchen in camp or in the field.
Supervise hot plate procedures and service of food from hot and cold service counters.
Observes and supervises the principles of personal hygiene.
Maintenance of standards of cleanliness of all kitchens and working equipment in camp or in the field
Any other task as directed by the QM or RCWO


Essential competencies

Current RLC Chef Class 1

Desirable competencies

Experience as a RLC Chef

Additional information

Participate in unit military training and exercises. Complete all mandatory military training tests in accordance with current regulations.  Attend Annual Training Event. Perform other military duties as required.
