Army Training Unit (North) Combat Medical Technician (CMT) - Strensall

Task requirements

Responsibilities:

1. Provide medical support to all SP delivering and undergoing Basic Training (BT), specifically during exercise, PT and range serials.
2. Deliver ‘Individual Health’ lessons as per CMS(R) Refine+ lesson plans to recruits during their BT.
3. Provide emergency care to recruits and Military SP during the working hours.
4. Provide medical cover for the Pass off Parade as directed by the training program.
5. Maintain clinical development portfolio (CPD) and mandatory training as required by DPHC HQ and CMT Code of Conduct.
6. Other tasks as detailed by the CoC including other administrative tasks and other training facilitation.

Suitable & Recommended on last SJAR for Phase 1 training.

ATU (North) trains the Army's next generation of Army Reserve soldiers. We deliver demanding, realistic but safe basic training that develops the character of our soldiers so that they can embark on their military career with confidence and a will to win. Further Information:

We are a satellite training location who offer reservist the ability to train locally in a modular fashion. The unit is small with approximately 70 personnel. With our HQ in Strensall and 2 training companies based in Strensall (York) and Hightown (Merseyside). We welcome and train reserve recruits from all over the UK.

This role will also give you the opportunity to undertake training courses that may not be available to you through your own unit, such as skill at arms, range qualifications, BCD and Map Reading.

This is a reservist role that can offer up upwards of 48 days per year, working pattern can involve weekdays and weekends during modular and consolidated courses.
