Task requirements
SSA for Army Aviation Staff Pool - Blended working (remote or in person) as required or agreed up to 44 RSD per year. Responsibilities include:
- Responsible for the provision of G1/MS support and advice to AASP and AAC HQ Reserve Element.
- Responsible for JPA and joining/transfer action for individuals joining the AASP.
- Responsible for termination for Reserve SP.
- Responsible for ensuring that individual profiles are correct including pay and benefits.
- Responsible for the initiation, progression and ultimately the timely submission of OJARs/SJARs in accordance with JSP 757
- Supervision and Delivery of Attendance Based Pay and allowances via RAPS and JPA ensuring that critical pay upload monthly deadline is met.
- SME for all military disciplinary matters, ensuring they are recorded correctly on JPA. Close liaison also required with G1 Disc at relevant Bde.
- Focal Point for the application and presentation of medals and commendations liaising with the MOD Medal Office.
- Responsible for recording Service Complaints onto JPA and liaison with ASCS at HQ Army.Responsible for initiating, progression and submission of recommendations for Honours and Awards up the CoC.
- Required occasionally to give G1/MS-related presentations to AASP/AACHQ Reserve element.
Essential competencies
Must have previous G1/MS experience and worked in a mixed mil/civ environment.
Requires good IT skills plus excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Possess a good understanding of JPA Pay, Discipline and Reporting procedures
Desirable competencies
A sound knowledge of JPA and Churchill. An insight to reserve Pay, Terms and conditions would be useful.
