Task requirements

ROLE

Support the Coy and Battalion on operations and exercises for the provision of reliable communications, working and operating in Coy HQ in the field delivering 360 communications across the area of responsibility. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  1. Prepare unit CIS equipment.
  2. Operate, maintain and secure in-service CIS equipment.
  3. Use information and Communication Technology (ICT) Systems both in barracks and tactically on exercise or operations.
  4. Provides support for less experienced operators and radio users.
  5. Drive unit vehicles and establish Command Posts acting as the sole point of contact for communications across the company.
  6. Build train and manage a coy signals detachment ensuring talent is nurtured and developed to support the wider CIS function in the unit.
  7. Assist the CIS SPSI with delivery and instruction of BRU and IPRO cadres.

Essential competencies
