Task requirements
A Promotion Selection Board will be held at 2623 RAuxAF Sqn on 25 Nov 24 for the purpose of selecting RAuxAF/Ex-Regular[1] personnel for promotion to fill Cpl, Gunner PTVR vacancies on sqn.
[1] Ex-Regular RAF personnel (left within 2 years) can apply for promotion. If left regular service over 2 years or applicant in Navy or Army, advice is to be sought from SO1 Reserves Spt before inviting individual for interview.
Essential competencies
Promotion/appointment to Cpl rank. For consideration for promotion/appointment to Cpl rank, candidates must meet the following requirements:
Have attained the rank of substantive LCpl and have met any minimum qualifying period in that rank, set or required by HQ Air.
Have passed any prescribed trade examinations and any other conversion/further training courses required or set by the competent authority.
Have a current recommendation for promotion to fill an established vacancy in the rank of Cpl.[1]
[1] In accordance with AP3392 Vol 7 Part 1 chapter 13 and Part 2 chapter 15.
Selection Process
A Promotion Selection Board will carry out a rigorous selection process for this post, based principally on an applicant’s last 2 Appraisal Reports.
