Task requirements
Subject to formal establishment, a vacancy has arisen for a Sergeant – PO Any Trade Joint to serve as IM Tech NCO at Imjin Barracks and Benhall on Full Time Reserve Service (Home Commitment) Terms and Conditions of Service (TCoS), with an initial proposed start date of 6 January 2025 (or earlier/later, subject to candidate status).
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Provide advice and support to both unit budget managers and external financial authorities on ICT assets.
- Project Manage the installation, configuration, and commission of ICT MOD equipment before handing them over for operations and management.
- Be the focal point for Bus Units on all aspects of Information Governance and Policy.
- Undertake duties of managing and administrating of all MOD role accounts for site for system up to and including above secret.
- Procure, manage, and administer communication facilities.
- Be the focal point for Bus Units on all aspects of Data Protection policies and procedurers.
- Provide co-ordinate support to business units for in year financial comms requirements.
Essential competencies
- Must either have been, or currently be, a Sergeant Any Trade or a Corporal Any Trade eligible for promotion.
- Hold or able to obtain EDV clearance. If the candidate is unsuccessful in attaining EDV then the offer of employment may be rescinded.
- Proven experience with: MS Office application suite, MS Windows 10, PC hardware (Laptops, desktops, Printers etc.) and Microsoft Office 365.
Must be serving as a member of the Reserve Forces or have served with the Regular Forces.
Desirable competencies
- Be able to work in a Tri-service environment with MOD civilians and contractors.
- Proven strong ability in customer service, building and maintaining relationships with users at all levels.
- Ability to manage customer expectation and respond immediately to high priority incidents, with the flexibility to handle multiple incidents concurrently in a high-pressured environment is key.
- Experience of working Data Protection policies and procedures.
- Experience of working Excel and Jira, an agile project management tool. Training will be provided.
