Task requirements
Summary: A challenging and high-profile opportunity for a high calibre 2nd/3rd tour OR9. Role: The most senior soldier appointment within the Army Reserve. Provide support to MA/DCFA in order to ensure DCFA meets objectives (set by CFA) in a timely way and to an appropriately high standard. Responsibilities:
1. Accompany DCFA on visits to units, formations and establishments acting as 'eyes and ears' in the collection and assimilation of formal and anecdotal feedback from the SNCO, JNCO and OR cohorts.
2. Pro-actively network with Reserve and Regular WO1s to share G1-G9 awareness and understanding.
3. Convene 3 meetings annually of the Reserve Senior Warrant Officer cohort, providing a two-way conduit for DCFA.
4. Liaise closely with CGS’s Reserve Briefing Team to share and track feedback and keep DCFA updated.
5. Brief, advise and provide informed counsel to DCFA and other senior staff on Reserve OR matters.
6. Represent and be prepared to brief on Army Reserve issues at the Army Sergeant Major's and Fd Army Command Sergeant Major’s meetings and at international Reserve forums.
7. Act as a career role model for Army Reserve SNCOs and Warrant Officers, messaging the Army Leadership Code through all interactions.
Essential competencies
2nd/3rd Tour OR9. F
or credibility 10+ yrs of PTVR experience if ex-Reg.
Coy/Sqn SNCO command experience.
SNCO Trade Quals.
Office 365: Capable user of Outlook, Teams, OneNote, Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
Desirable competencies
Mobilisation as a reservist.
Previous Staff experience in a 2*/1* HQ.

Additional information
This post carries 70 RSDs per year. Working time is mostly flexible with quarterly attendance in Andover expected. UK travel with occasional overnight stays will be required.
