Task requirements
A Promotion Selection Board will be held at HQ Air Reserves Jan 25 for the purpose of selecting RAuxAF personnel for promotion to fill Sqn Ldr PTVR vacancies within the RAF Medical Reserves Global Establishment located at 612 Sqn (Leuchars Station) and 4626 Sqn (RAF Brize Norton).
Flt Lt – Sqn Ldr advert details the current available lines and their current physical location within the Global Establishment. Successful candidates will be offered promotion in the order they are graded and at the location of their preference where vacancies exist. Subject to current Sqn management structures, lines may be able to be moved within the Establishment to accommodate additional successful candidates, however this is subject to Cap Owner approval.
Essential competencies
For consideration for promotion/appointment to Sqn Ldr rank, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Have attained the rank of substantive Flt Lt and met any minimum qualifying period in that rank, set or required by HQ Air.
- Successful completion of IOD A or legacy IOD 1-3, in accordance with AP 7000 and AP 3393 Vol 1 Chapter 5 Section 4 Para 4 & 5 PMD.
- Have min 2yrs Service remaining on current TCoS, in accordance with AP 3392 Vol 7 Part 3 Chapter 1 Para 18.
- Have a current recommendation for promotion to fill an established vacancy in the rank of Sqn Ldr.
Selection Process
An Appointment Board will carry out a rigorous selection process for these posts, based principally on an applicant’s last 4 Appraisal Reports.
