Task requirements
Army Reserve Phase 1 Section Commander / Instructor; responsibilities include:
1. Lead and Instruct a Section of Army Reserve Phase 1 Recruits in the skills required to pass the CMS FS.
2. Administer and supervise recruits at all times in their Phase 1 Training.
3. Assess trainees and regularly prepare written reports.
4. Maintain and monitor recruits welfare.
5. Maintain good order and military discipline amongst recruits, applying the Army Leadership code at all times & adherence to the Army's V&S.
6. Deputise for the Platoon Sergeant if required.
7. Prepare and conduct lessons in accordance with the training programme and ensure that key learning points are completed.
8. Command a section of up to 12 recruits in barracks and on exercises / ranges.
Essential competencies
Basic Care of Trainee (DLE Cse)
Advanced Care of Trainee within 6-Months of Appt.
DTc(A) or equivalent.
AASAA Inst (Qualified or available to complete within 6-months of assignment).
SA(K) 18 (Qualified or available to complete within 6-months of assignment).
Desirable competencies
DCCT System Operator.
AA Drill Inst (Basic).
Army Trainer Mentor.
Mental Resilience Inst.
Selection Process
All applicants are encouraged to liaise with ATR(G) and conduct a 'Look at Life' visit to understand the role of the Unit and any responsibilities associated with the Appt. Inkerman Coy is part of ATR(G) a Regional Army Reserve unit based out of Venning Barracks, Donnington.
Inkerman Coy conduct routine Training Nights, but there is no assured event liability due to the nature of the role. Certificate of efficiency and associated bounty will be awarded on achievement of ALL mandatory training requirements and meeting the minimum commitment of 27 x RSD over the training year. Up to 88 x RSD will allocated to the Appt annually to enable the delivery Army Reserve CMS FS serials.
Evening and weekend work will be required.
