Task requirements

Attend for up to 66 RSDs, directed by the CoC & Regimental Training Directive.

Be capable of detecting, diagnosing and remedying simple faults associated with the vehicle weapon systems and associated equipment.

Advise his immediate superiors on gunnery matters

Operate the VHF Bowman radio System.

Be prepared to take command and control the vehicle in the absence of the vehicle commander.

Responsible for engaging and destroying targets.

Responsible for the operation and set up of the vehicle radios.

Expected to carry out any additional task set by the vehicle commander.

Maintain a good standard of health, fitness and stamina.

Operating in accordance with and enforcing current tactical doctrine, regimental SOPs when in the field and on Ops.

Remain current and competent in all RAC (RACES), BICIP & ITR Training qualifications.

Essential competencies

Regiment can train individuals over the duration of the commitment.

Desirable competencies

Driving licence (B & Cat C) – not essential.…
