Task requirements

Unit Role: The Land Special Operations Training Centre (LSOTC) is a sub-unit that works directly to the Combat Manoeuvre Centre and delivers Ranger Foundation Training, bespoke Ranger and Special to Role (StR) training on behalf of the Army Special Operations Brigade (Spec Ops Bde) in order to support Army force elements, including Reserves, deploying on Land Special Operations (LSO).     
       
Position Role:  Responsible for the planning, execution, and assurance of all LSOTC delivered Army Reserve training. 

Responsibilities: 
1.    Plan, design, manage and assure all LSOTC delivered Army Reserve training events, ensuring all Reserve training is executed in a DSAT, safe and policy compliant manner.
2.    Management of external personnel FGen to support LSOTC Army Reserve training events. Ensuring they are suitably prepared and supported to deliver their outputs.
3.    Conduct Internal Validation (INVAL) of all LSOTC delivered Army Reserve training events.
4.    Liaison and deconfliction with ASOB SO2 G7 Reserves and PSAO / SPSI E Coy 3 RANGER to support delivery of LSOTC Army Reserve training.
5.    Support HQ INF, ASOB, LSOF capability development through attendance on working groups as directed by Chief Instructor (CI) LSOTC.
6.    Responsible for the production of PXRs for all LSOTC delivered Army Reserve training events.
7.    Bpt support other LSOTC delivered training events if required.

Prior service or experience operating within the Ranger Regiment, ASOB HQ, LSOF or Land Special Operations is desirable to understand bespoke training requirements                         
Experience of partnering operations highly desirable
Staff experience at either BHQ/RHQ or Formation level desirable
Team Command experience within the Ranger Regiment desirable
Experience from a training establishment highly desirable
Unit level training experience, Coy 2IC or Training Officer desirable
