Task requirements
1. To provide Safety, Health, Environmental & Fire (SHEF) advice, guidance and support to the CoC within their AoR. 2. To conduct assurance of Unit Safety Management Plans, Unit Fire Safety Management Plans and Unit Environmental Management Systems for Army Sites (EMSAS) when requested or directed by ASG SC. 3. To monitor occurrence reporting and provide advice on prevention within their AoR. 4. To support Unit investigations of incidents and to conduct SHEF investigations when directed by ASG SC. 5. To deliver SHEF training in support of a Regional based programme including but not limited to, Risk Assessment training, SRM, COSHH awareness and WiP. 6. To provide additional support to the Army Safety Matrix (including SO1 SHE/FP/RPoC SO2 SHEF) as requested or directed by ASG SC. 7. To assist the Unit CoC in preparing for ASEMSA. |

Additional information
1. The post is embedded into a TACOM unit with post management conducted through ASG SC (OPCOM). The Army Force Protection Advisor (AFPA) will have responsibilities for more than one unit across a Region - additional units covered are SNIY, 5 MI Bn, 105 Regt RA and 7 SCOTS. 2. This post is located in Edinburgh and the applicant will work from Edinburgh so is required to be able to commute daily or as required to be able to carry out their role and responsibilities 3. The AFPA is required to be in office a minimum of 3 days per week minimum, however some remote working may be permissible by arrangement between the Units and the ASG SCen. |
