Domestic Considerations: RSDs: 27 days with possibility of further being issued. Evening and weekend work required.


Post Role: COMMS OP TP LCPL


Responsibilities:

1. Ensure Level 1 maintenance and fault reporting for Unit FFRs assets is conducted and recorded.

2. To operate and provide Communications in support of their commander’s main effort, utilising Communication Information Systems (CIS).

3. For the correct, safe use and handling of all issued CIS equipment required to effectively communicate.

4. Responsible for operating independently within a Sqn Detachment and supervision of Class 3-2 Comms Specs.

5. Other tasks as directed by the RSI/RSWO. 

Essential competencies

1. Class 3 or 2 Basic Signaller

2. RLC or R Signals

3. IT Literate

4. Good communicator

5. Full Cat B Licence

Desirable competencies

1. Recent military service

2. JAMES experience

3. Literacy & Numeracy Level 1
