Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

Responsibilities

The below are primary, generic duties.

Supervision of maintainers of Shiplift systems and equipment as directed.

Supervision and operation of Shiplift systems as directed.

Write, review, and amend technical information as directed.

To be a winch well operative for docking and maintenance movements as directed.

To oversee a capstan operations team within the berthing party.

Carry out divisional responsibilities as laid down in BR3.

To fulfil duty responsibilities as prescribed by SFS Resource Office.

Any other tasking commensurate and appropriate to level and organisational requirements.

Essential Skills

Must be an OR6-OR7 of ET MESM (ML) specialisation. OR4 applicants with a positive recommendation in their most recent annual OJAR/SJAR may be considered for the role and the award of Acting Higher Rank (AHR).
