ENGAGEMENT AND HUMAN FACTORS COORDINATOR


The Navy Safety Directorate (NSD) acts on behalf of Fleet Commander (1SL’s Senior Safety Manager) to deliver the Navy Command (NC) Safety and Environmental Management System (SEMS) and associated safety culture improvement programme. It incorporates the Inspector of Explosives (Navy) and the Defence Diving Standards Team.

 

PRIMARY PURPOSE

The primary purpose of the Engagement and Human Factors Coordinator is to support the Navy Safety Engagement (NSE) SO2 in the provision of specialised human factors training across the Navy to enhance safety, performance, and team dynamics. This involves the planning and trainer allocation for the NSD delivered Maritime Human Factors Facilitator training courses. The role will support the NSE SO2 in the development of a culture where human factors principles are deeply embedded into everyday practices and decision-making processes.
