Social Worker – Learning Disability Team - MID07314

Job Vacancy Midlothian Council are seeking to recruit a Social Worker for the Learning Disability Team. The social worker will be responsible for assessing and providing social work and social care services to adults with Learning Disabilities, some of whom will have complex care needs and will be expected to have or develop expertise in assessment and care management thus service user group. Duties will also include managing a complex workload, chairing meetings and reviews, undertaking adult support and protection activities and participating in case conferences. Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to work with individuals with a learning disability and their families are essential. The social worker will work be required to work closely with care providers to manage and oversee care provision.
