Job Description

A vacancy has arisen for a Squadron Leader (Aircrew) to serve as AMTW Aircrew Instructor within the Aerospace Medicine Training Wing (AMTW) at the RAF Centre of Aerospace Medicine, RAF Henlow on Volunteer ex-Regular Reserve Terms and Conditions of Service (TCoS), with an initial proposed start date of 02 November 2026 (or earlier/later, subject to candidate status).

AMTW Aircrew Instructor is responsible to OC AMTW for the delivery of aerospace medicine training and practical aerospace medicine experiential training in accordance with the relevant NATO Standards and Training Memorandums.

Responsibilities include:

  • Delivery of classroom instructional activities.
  • Providing practical training in aerospace medicine to include spatial disorientation and Night Vision Device training.
  • Teaching other subjects for which you would be best placed as SME to deliver.
