Job Description

Subject to ECR approval, a vacancy may arise for a Wing Commander Any to serve as Inspector Adventure Training Safety at RAF Cranwell on Volunteer ex-Regular Reserve Terms and Conditions of Service (TCoS), with an initial proposed start date of 01 February 2027.

The Inspector Adventure Training Safety (Insp AT) is responsible for providing specialist oversight, assurance and governance across the full breadth of Adventure Training (AT) activity within the RAF. The post provides Assurance of RAF delivered AT, excluding RAF AT activities within JSAT and the RAF Eagles Scheme, in accordance with statutory legislation, Defence Safety Authority (DSA) regulations and Defence Health, Safety and Environmental Protection (HS&EP) Policy. The Land Safety domain encompasses all RAF delivered AT activity where personnel, equipment, training systems or infrastructure are exposed to risk.
