Job Description

Responsibilities:
1. Focal point for all welfare agencies operating within (Primary), and external to (Secondary) the unit.
2. Delivery of improvements in Duty of Care because of direction issuing from DHALI and Ofsted recommendations.
3. Provide COs with an independent welfare assessment of recruits, PS and families on request.
4. Attend and chair welfare meetings internal and external to the unit and provide advice and assistance to depts, subunits and families.
5. Be prepared to serve as unit Independent Complaints Officer (ICO) and arbitrate for recruits, PS, and lodger unit personnel and families.
6. Responsible for the day-to-day welfare of ATC(P) families and work to improve the conditions for families.
7. Engage with various community groups and agencies to improve Community Relations and Community Engagement.
