Job Description

A vacancy has arisen for a Squadron Leader, Provost, to serve as SO2 RAF Police Reserves in the Ground Combat and Security Profession Reserves Coordination Cell at RAF Honington on Full Time Reserve Service (Limited Commitment) Terms and Conditions of Service (TCoS), with an initial proposed start date of 04 January 2027 (or earlier/later subject to candidate status).

The SO2 RAF Police Reserves is a key staff officer role responsible for the development, integration, and optimisation of RAF Police Reserve capability across the RAF and wider Defence Reserves community. Reporting through SO1 Workforce & Training, the post holder provides strategic workforce and policy support and acts as a lead SME for Reserve matters. The role requires strong stakeholder engagement across Defence, RAF Reserves, and the RAF Police Force to ensure the Reserve component remains capable, relevant, and fully integrated into future capability development and operational requirements.
