Job Description

Responsibilities:

 

1.  Command the Lowland Band of the Royal Regiment of Scotland, an Army Reserve Band.

2.  Train and direct the Band and its musical ensembles.

3.  Carry out engagements when required.

4.  Carry out all additional musical duties to include, but not restricted to, composing or arranging music for a variety of ensembles.

5. Undertake subunit commander’s administration, to include but not restricted to MODNET, JPA, Churchill, RAPS and all additional unit administrative duties appropriate to rank and appointment.

6. Act as career manager for all Band personnel and 1RO for Sgt-WO.

7. Command the Band Recruiting Team and carry out  recruiting events in accordance with the Recruiting Policy and Outreach instruction.

8. Act as Equality and Diversity Advisor and Unit Welfare Officer to all ranks.

9. Be responsible for the management, implementation and on occasion the delivery of all musical, non-musical and operational training including CEQs, ALDP and Literacy & Numeracy…
