Job Description

Subject to formal establishment amendment, a vacancy may arise for a Wing Commander (Any Profession) to serve as SO1 Parliamentary Engagement at Strategic Engagement in London MOD Main Building on Full Time Reserve Service (Limited Commitment) Terms and Conditions of Service (TCoS), with an initial proposed start date of 28 September 2026 (or earlier/later, subject to candidate status and formal establishment amendment).

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and execute the Armed Forces Parliamentary Scheme as directed by Ministers on behalf of the Armed Forces Parliamentary Trust.
  • Plan, oversee and support engagement between the RAF and All-Party Parliamentary Groups for the Armed Forces – in support of RAF aims and objectives.
  • Provide targeted engagement opportunities for parliamentarians, aligning with RAF messaging to enhance understanding and secure the best outcomes for Defence.
