Job Description

Position Role: SO2 Pers Pol

1. HQBG Policy Lead for Life Skills development and Service
Leaving Transition for all BG personnel. Maintaining
oversight on BG Unit practices.
2. Provide assistance in support of HQBG's tasks for heritage
and commemoration as BG Heritage Officer.
3. Work with regional Bdes, BG units, GWT and welfare
agencies in tracking of and delivering welfare support to
vulnerable Service Leavers (SL).
4. Staff lead for BG approach to the administration of, and the
provision of welfare to WIS personnel and their families
including KIA/WIA
5. Maintain oversight of BG units' compliance with existing
VO/NO policy.
6. Liaise with BG units and Reserve organisations, encourage
more ex-Gurkhas into the Army Reserve including FTRS.
7. Provide timely information on Transition and re-employment
opportunities to all BG Service leavers.
8. Fund Manager of the Bde Education and Welfare Fund.
