Task requirements

Driver YOTR  

  1. Responsible through the MTWO for driving duties together with the normal maintenance and cleanliness of all unit vehicles
  2. To assist the MTWO in vehicle documentation.
  3. To monitor and report all faults and deficiencies to the MTWO for the appropriate action to be taken.
  4. To ensure he understands and complies with the action to be taken in the event of an accident involving any unit vehicle being driven at the time of the time of the accident.
  5. To ensure that the vehicle garage area is kept clean and secure at all times.
  6. To assist in the G4 area when not required for tasks as outlined in the above paragraphs
  7. To carry out any tasks as directed by the Chain of Command

Essential competencies

Phase 1 and 2 trained.

Current Driving licence. 

Desirable competencies

Driving licence  C+E, D,  D1E & HAZMAT

G7 Qualifications

Additional information

Minimum 38 RSDs are available however more are available for Specific Tasks (ST).

The RMAS Modular Training is completed on Drill Nights which are held on a Wednesday evening alongside 7 Training Weekends which are completed within university term times. An Annual Training Exercise is held in June/July.
