Task requirements
Unit Role: Outreach Group is a hybrid Regular / Reserve unit, with the remit to support these functions through the provision of Subject Matter Expertise and advice in Civ-Mil Coordination (CIMIC), Security Capacity Building, Stabilisation (SCB), Human Security (HS), Cultural Property Protection (CPP) and Cultural Engagement (CULAD). Also Outreach Group is the Defence partner to the Office of Conflict Stabilisation and Mediation (OCSM).
Position Role:. Permanent Staff Administration Officer (PSAO) within Outreach Group, support the CO and Group HQ in the administration, management, preparation and generation of Regular and Reserve personnel to contribute to 11X and 1XX operational delivery.
Responsibilities:
- Support Outreach Group in the co-ordination and assurance of individual and collective training for the Reserves.
- Carry out JPA actions for Outreach Group including attendance based pay.
- Ensure the complete integration of Reservists with their Regular counterparts by knowing and mentoring individuals; identifying key SMEs and facilitating Reserves being employed to maximum effect within the Group.
- Support the FPrep & FGen of Reserve personnel for operational deployments.
- Manage effective delivery of Reserve admin support across Outreach Group.
- In concert with Bde G1 staff, ensure Reserve soldiers' and officers' Career Management is conducted in accordance with current policy and practice.
- Control and assure Outreach Group submissions in support of external APC Boarding, to include JS, BBN and videos where applicable.
- Other duties as required.
Essential competencies
Experience with LUMS applications such as CHURCHILL, PPS, ODR, MUSTER and RAPS.
Desirable competencies
Reserve Career Manager - Must attend within 6 month if selected and not already qualified.
Outreach Group Foundation Course - Must attend within 6 month if selected and not already qualified.

Additional information
Experience of working in a Tri-Service environment and with the Army Reserve will be of significant advantage. The post incumbent is the primary administrator for an extensive group of Reservists and must be able to manage and advise on numerous and diverse administrative/training issues. Must be diplomatic and have a high degree of inter-personal skills.
