Task requirements

The UOTC is a phase 1 training establishment within the nuanced university space. Therefore, commitment, professionalism and experience are necessary. Management of risk is a daily occurrence which requires sound judgement and management - this appointment requires a problem solver with empathy.                                                                                                               1. Adjutant - Day to day administration of WUOTC; principal staff officer to the CO for all Unit G1 matters.
2. Adjutant - MS & CM; Initiating Officer for all Appraisal Reports and management of appraisal processes. H&A.
3. Adjutant - UHC lead; PAPMIS, VRMIS, WISMIS.
4. Adjutant - Discipline lead; Minor AGAI, Major AGAI and Service Law.
5. RAO - Auditor of the Unit public and non-public funds. JPA iExpenses auditor.
6. RAO - Management responsibility for all Unit records and preparation for the G1A.
7. Other - 1RO, 2RO and line manager for specified military and civilian staff within the Unit.
8. Other - Additional roles within the Unit; Establishment Administrator, Unit Press Officer, Unit Alcohol Advisor.
9. Other - Support the AOSB pipeline (for Reg and Res POs), monitoring candidate progression, providing AOSB and commissioning advice and communicating Army career opportunities to OCdts, including fam visits.
10. Other - Assist the CO in setting the D&I environment for the Unit.
11. Other - Duties as directed by the CO.

Additional information

Leadership - Self-motivated role model demonstrating highest officer qualities. Safe Systems of training is second nature.                               Values and Standards - Flexible, adaptable, approachable with adventurous nature. Must set the standards and be a role model for the next generation.                     Communication and Influence - Must be able to enthuse OCdts with the Regular and Reserve offer, lead Reserve staff well and write coherent reports on time and brief up to 2* level. Breadth of Perspective.  Exp of civilian line management and/or working with civilian staff (desirable).
Experience/knowledge of Regular and Army Reserve Commissioning process (desirable).
The ideal candidate would be more Adjutant than RAO - G1 Discipline, MS and Welfare
take priority over G8 functions in the selection of the post.
Needs to be flexible and "hands on" to support the CO in delivering Unit priorities.
