Task requirements
Domestic Considerations: Incumbent will routinely work from home, but they may be required to travel occasionally to Andover for meetings. Separated service and travel are also required to conduct unit visits, testing and assessment. Position role: Team member of the Review of G1 Administration Inefficiencies (REGAIN) project, whose purpose is to improve the efficiency of the Army’s G1 administration. Responsible for delivering the replacement for the Army’s Service Charitable Funds accounting application for the Army. As a member of the Digital and Data Delivery Hub, represent the Army’s requirements for Defence’s Military HR System and contributing to other digital developments across the Army People Function. Responsibilities: 1. Identify, develop and implement working practice efficiencies in pan-Army G1 procedures within the timelines specified by the REGAIN PM. 2. Lead the delivery of a replacement for the Army’s Service Charitable Funds accounting application. 3. Through membership of the Pers Strat Digital and Data Delivery Hub, represent the Army’s requirements as a proponent for the development and implementation of Mil HRS and contribute to other digital developments across the Army People Function as directed by the REGAIN Project Manager. 4. Promote an inclusive culture within area of responsibility, working to increase understanding and engagement through education and initiative. |
Essential competencies
Whilst this post would best suit someone with experience of delivering pers admin at unit level, particularly Service Charitable Funds accounting and auditing, applicants from all backgrounds will be considered providing they can demonstrate evidence of implementing change and a passion for improving the Army’s pers admin procedures. |
Desirable competencies
A Project Management qualification and/or experience is desirable but not essential. A sensible, pragmatic approach to managing multiple work strands and delivering results at pace is more important than a formal PM qualification. |
